Minecraft Administration

The Minecraft server is run under a craftbukkit wrapper, located in /usr/local/bin/craftbukkit . The service is started and stopped using Ascii Bukkit Menu. In order to access the console, screen command should be used.

The Ascii Bukkit Menu script is available at http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/ascii-bukkit-menu/. This script is used to automatically start and stop the server via the init.d/minecraft file, using normal System V procedures.

To connect to the console, use the command "sudo screen -x". To disconnect from the console use Ctrl-A Ctrl-D. More screen commands can be found at http://www.math.utah.edu/docs/info/screen_5.html

The server is running the following mods:

• Chestbank, to allow a network of chests available from anywhere, specific to each user.
• Multiverse Core, a plugin to allow multiple worlds to be loaded on one server.
• Treasure Hunt which does not currently work.
